Emotionally available houseplant is a work in progress which intends to extend the natural feedback mechanisms of an indoor plant. Using a recycled radio case with a loudspeaker, an Arduino board and some basic sensors, the houseplant can communicate through sounds its state and how it is affected by its changing environment. Through this new communication means, perhaps new language can be developed between plants and their owners.
